To The Lighters/ The Lighters In Training/ The I don’t know what the hell a ‘Lighter’ is!

Here are 5 things that you can do today to feel good and Turn Lights On.

Description of Turn Lights On

Turn Lights On is a practice that one person performs to another. It’s when you approach a conversation with the purpose of making the other person feel like they are valued and listened to resulting in a connection, a spark, a transaction of energy creating a moment that you both share in the here and now. When you turn someones lights on you hear it in their voice, see it in there face and feel it in their smile. The more you do it the better you get at it and the more you feel and see it.

WARNING – HIGHLY ADICTIVE AND WILL CAUSE HAPPINESS AND BUILD MORE RELATIONSHIPS THAT ARE MORE RICH!

How to do it!

1. Be there – You can’t be in the moment with someone and Turn their Light On if you are somewhere else. These kind of conversations happen all the time, you know the ones when you are looking at somebody, they are saying the right things but you know they are somewhere else.

2. Be curious – With what’s going on for someone, fact find out about them. Notice I don’t say “Be interested” the reason? Because being interested may be more about you and what you’re interested in, come from a neutral place it’s much more free.

3. Stop thinking just do it – There are so many fear triggers that stop us Turning Lights On; Will I look like an idiot? What if someone doesn’t want me to talk? What happens if they think I’m weird? Blah Blah Blah! This is your ego having a moment. Park your ego and just get out of your own way. It doesn’t have to be heavy. Just do it! Just enjoy it!

4. Ask questions – Asking how are you in the most present way with the outcome of really wanting to know how someone is. We have these ping pong conversations, when our autopilot kicks in, that normally go:

“How are you?”

“Fine, how are you? ”

“I’m good.”

Wow – memorable! Nobody wants to own the ball, don’t bat back the ball own it baby! Asking more about their day if they give the “fine” response. Being curious and asking what, why, how to seek more juicy conversation.

5. Feel your conversations – Don’t just speak them! If you don’t go into energy and all that jazz you’ll LOVE reading our free chapter of the book (Click here to get it now!). Be aware of your own energy and the impact it has on other people. We leave an energetic fingerprint whatever we do and Turn Lights On is about really connecting and that comes from the heart. You don’t have to tell everyone you love them you just have to open up a bit, this is a personal thing and everyone is different. This comes in many different disguises humour, kindness, compassion they are all good at helping this invisible wall come down so we can connect with each other.

I have a favour to ask of you: make it your mission today to Turn one Light On. See how it feels and looks, I’m not going to go into that yet as I will be taking all the fun away from your TLO adventure!

Enjoy!
