Hi Everyone,
George here updating you on how our first Happening meeting went on Thursday 17th July. To put you in the picture, the Happening is our name for the movement. The movement of people living and spreading the Turn Lights On practice. The practice inspires you so you can inspire others; it does this by enabling you to connect more in your everyday life by being more present in the moments you create.
Pre event I was SUPER nervous! Will everyone get my message? Will they be inspired to live TLO (Turn Lights On)? I have been spreading the TLO message all year and have had wonderful feedback. This evening was different. It was filled with people that I really respect and care about, and also people who didn’t know me at all. I started crafting my talk on Monday before the event. I spent days changing it and trying to make it just right. The day of the event I started to feel really doubtful in myself so I read my own book! I took my own advice!! I spent 20 minutes reading and I felt 1000 times better!
So on to the event: it was one of the warmest days of the year and I was so thrilled to have 30 people in a hot sticky room ready to listen to what I had to say!
I went for it! I started off a tiny bit nervous but more excited. The talk went really well; I covered some of the book and how people can live TLO today and in today’s world.
If you want a flavour of what I said, please read the first chapter of the book – it will explain the TLO practice and what it is. If you are interested in trying out the practice, I am currently conducting a 30 day SWITCH ON! 30 days where you live TLO. I will be updating you on what that looks like in my next post!
From the event, I have received some beautiful feedback and people have been emailing and texting me already with “Hi George I’ve turned 2 lights on today”. That makes me so happy! TLO is working its magic in the world.
I did some interviews after the event and I was so taken aback by how people are going to practice TLO in their lives for many different reasons. Here are some of the reasons they gave…
“I’m going to use TLO with my teenage daughter to improve our relationship”.
” TLO is going to be really useful to use in my business so I can connect with my team and my customers”.
” I’m going to use TLO in everyday places like the shops and see what the results are”.
We filmed the event, so as soon as it’s ready it will be on the website. If you would like to see some photos, take a look at the Turn Lights On Facebook Page.
I will be holding another Happening meeting in September, so if you think you might like to come along, sign up to the newsletter and I will be able to update you on the date!
Have a excellent day Turning Lights On wherever you go!
George
